The Pool Perf® System
Every Pool Perf® panel is factory-built, never site-assembled: 5052/5251 marine-grade aluminium at a full 2.5 mm, mechanically locked into a 6063 T6 extruded frame with our interlocking system, then finished in a textured architectural powder coat. That factory discipline is why panels arrive rigid, straight and inspection-ready — and why they stay that way for decades through relentless Mid North Coast salt spray.
When a Pool Fence Must Be a Balustrade
Ask whoever quotes you one question: 'What happens where my fence meets the drop?' If they hesitate, keep shopping. Any barrier protecting a fall of one metre or more must meet balustrade requirements under the National Construction Code as well as AS 1926.1 — a detail DIY kits and imported fencing quietly ignore. Make Sure Your Pool Perf® Is Pool Perf®
Imitations are circling, and in a photo they can look convincing — the way a knock-off watch looks Swiss right up until you hold the genuine article. Side by side in a backyard, they're chalk and cheese. Here's how to be sure the fence you're quoted is the fence in our photos:
- Textured powder coat, everywhere. Genuine Pool Perf® frames and posts are finished in a textured architectural powder coat — it hides fingerprints and laughs off scratches. If the quote specs satin black, that's the imitation talking: a finish that scratches easily and shows every fingerprint. You may as well have bought glass.
- Real designs flow. Genuine Pool Perf® patterns were created by designers, not copy-pasted by software — so they move naturally across the fence. A chunky, repeating palm block is an imitation wearing a costume.
- Ask about panel length. Genuine Pool Perf® spans to a huge 3 metres. "Sorry, 2 metres max" means it's not Pool Perf®.
- Any colour you can imagine. "Only black or Monument" is not Pool Perf® — the full Dulux® and Interpon® ranges are on the table.
- Check the country of origin. Genuine Pool Perf® is Australian made and manufactured, end to end. Inferior imported fencing is no place to park your family's safety.
- Kind to curious noses. Genuine panels are linished — every perforation edge is rounded smooth before coating. Skip that step, as imports do, and the panel may as well double as a cheese grater. Your dog's nose lives pressed against that fence; don't let it pay for a difference you couldn't see in the photo.
- Papers on the table. NATA test reports and a Form 15 compliance certificate come with every genuine order — supplied through an authorised distributor like us.
